Overview
|
A vital element of the Archdiocese’s involvement in WYD08 is its commitment to a long term vision in its ministry with young people. As such there is significant focus on and dedication to post WYD events and programs that will continue to engage young people in the life of the Church, nurturing and forming them on their faith journey. Providing meaningful faith opportunities for young people emerged as a priority at the conclusion of the Archdiocesan Synod which was held in 2003. In light of this, all WYD related events and programs are operating within the existing Archdiocesan framework for ministry with young people. Also supporting this framework is the Youth and Children’s Ministry team which provides archdiocesan support, resources and training to assist parishes and deaneries in their ministry with young people.
